Description

The SHINING 3D EinScan Trak is a wireless, marker-free 3D scanning system with two work modes. In tracking mode, a tracker follows the spherical scanner in real time across a volume of up to 15 m³, so large objects can be captured without placing markers on them. Detach the scanner and it works as a handheld unit for tight spaces and fine detail, and the data from both modes merges into one model.

Three blue laser modes handle everything from large surfaces to deep holes, and a 5MP texture camera captures true colour. It suits reverse engineering, product design, heritage and art, AR/VR content and education. EXMeasure inspection software is included for one year.

One System, Two Work Modes

Use tracking mode for large areas, then detach the scanner and switch to scanner mode to reach confined spaces and capture fine detail. Data from both modes and different resolutions merges into a single model, and the scanner works after detaching without recalibration.

Wireless, Marker-Free Tracking

Built-in retroreflective targets on the spherical scanner let the tracker follow it in real time, so no markers are needed on the object, even on large, smooth surfaces. A Wi-Fi 6 module pairs automatically at start-up with the included router. Tracking volume is up to 15 m³.

Three Laser Modes

19 + 19 crossed laser lines for fast capture of large surfaces; 7 parallel laser lines for fine details and sharp edges, down to 0.05 mm point distance; and a single laser line for deep holes and recessed areas. It handles black and reflective surfaces and, per SHINING 3D, scans outdoors in sunlight up to 110,000 lux.

High-Definition, True-Colour Capture

A 5MP texture camera captures colour for heritage, art, research, AR/VR and digital content.

Built for Large, On-Site Jobs

Hot-swappable batteries give up to 5.5 hours of use, and the system works outdoors, so large objects such as vehicles and boats can be scanned where they sit.

Streamlined Reverse Engineering

Take scan data (.stl) through to CAD with SHINING 3D’s EXModel: extract information, build the CAD model, verify and export. EinScan Trak also works with Geomagic Design X and other listed software.

Precise Measurement and Inspection

EXMeasure supports flexible alignment, one-click feature extraction, GD&T inspection, colour-map comparison and visual reports from your scan data. Compatible with PolyWorks Inspector and Geomagic Control X as well.

Where It Works

Industry-specific customisation, product and industrial design, heritage preservation and art, AR/VR and digital content, education and scientific research. Need help with a scanning or reverse engineering project? MAKE3D also offers 3D scanning and reverse engineering services.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the EinScan Trak?

It’s SHINING 3D’s wireless, marker-free 3D scanning system. A tracker follows the spherical scanner in real time across up to 15 m³, so large objects need no markers. The scanner also detaches for handheld use, and data from both modes merges into one model.

Can the EinScan Trak be used for reverse engineering and inspection?

Yes. Its three laser modes capture large surfaces, fine edges and deep holes, with volumetric accuracy up to 0.1 mm. Scan data can go to EXModel or Geomagic Design X for CAD, and to EXMeasure, PolyWorks Inspector or Geomagic Control X for inspection.

Do I need markers to scan with the EinScan Trak?

No, it is marker-free by default. Built-in retroreflective targets let the tracker follow the scanner. For large multi-pass jobs, Global Marker or Hybrid Leapfrog modes can improve accuracy, and markers can help with small or featureless objects in handheld scanner mode.
