The SHINING 3D FreeScan Omni is a wireless, standalone metrology 3D scanner that completes the whole quality-control loop on the device itself — scan, mesh, inspect and generate the report, with no PC or cables needed. Built-in computing, a touchscreen and dual light sources (blue laser and infrared VCSEL) deliver certified accuracy of 0.02 mm and scan speeds of up to 7,619,000 points per second.
With the built-in, PTB-certified SHINING3D Inspect module and one-click automated inspection, frontline staff can check parts right on the shop floor and get instant, consistent reports. SHINING 3D describes it as the world’s first standalone, inspection-ready metrology 3D scanner.
From scanning and meshing to inspection and reporting, every step is completed right on the scanner. The integrated, PTB-certified SHINING3D Inspect module runs inspections with one click using preset templates. You can view the report on the device or export it to a USB drive or PC.
Certified volumetric accuracy of 0.02 + 0.015 mm/m with SHINING 3D’s patented video photogrammetry (VPG). An edge-computing processor (32 GB, FPGA, 1 TB SSD) and dual 5 MP industrial cameras capture sharp, detailed data and process it fast, right on the device.
Fully wireless, with no power cords or data cables. Scanning, processing and inspection all run on the device, and detachable battery packs swap without downtime.
The smart dock gives a quick power boost and sets up Wi-Fi automatically. Dock once and the scanner is connected and ready to go.
Intelligent boundary detection measures round holes, rectangular holes and slots quickly and precisely. That makes it a strong fit for sheet-metal inspection.
SHINING 3D’s patented VPG keeps volumetric accuracy consistent on large objects without coded markers, so setup is faster.
FreeScan Trio delivers exceptional high-details capture, ensuring intricate data acquisition with or without markers.

It’s SHINING 3D’s wireless, standalone metrology 3D scanner. It scans, meshes, inspects and generates inspection reports on the device itself, with no PC required, and has a certified accuracy of 0.02 mm.
No. It has built-in computing (32 GB, 1 TB SSD), a touchscreen and the SHINING3D Inspect module, so it works on its own. It can also work in PC mode when you need it.
Both use the same hardware and certified accuracy. Omni includes on-device inspection, standalone mode, VPG and AI feature recognition. Omni Lite works with a PC and offers those as optional modules you can add later.
